The fifth OMI Radiology Satellite Symposium was held on October 10-11, 2025, at the University of Pristina, bringing together more than 150 physicians. Accredited by the Kosovo Medical Chamber, the program featured international faculty Dr. David Trost (Weill Cornell Medicine, NY) and Dr. Petra Steyerova (General University Hospital, Prague), alongside local experts. It focused on topics such as unusual interventional procedures, peripheral nerve trauma, oncology imaging, breast imaging, and MRI safety.
The symposium also marked 20 years of the OMI’s presence in Kosovo through the Kosova Open Medical Club (KOMC), highlighting its contributions to medical education and professional growth in the region. Special thanks go to Dr. Bujar Gjikolli, OMI local coordinator and president of KOMC, for organizing the symposium and hosting a celebratory cocktail to honor KOMC’s 20th anniversary.
To date, the OMI has provided 546 fellowships and 48 observerships to doctors from Kosovo.
