OMI/ Institut Pasteur Partnership Continues Successfully

Apr 30, 2022

The OMI is pleased to have extended its educational partnership with the Institut Pasteur in Paris, France via a cooperation agreement, which is valid for six years starting April 2022.

Three seminars in the areas of infectious diseases and epidemiology, antibiotic resistance, and neurogenerative diseases will take place over the course of three years. As of now, these seminars will rotate between the OMI hubs in Salzburg, Austria and Mexico City. Mexico. The courses in Mexico will be administered by Alianza Médica para la Salud (AMSA), the OMI’s local partner foundation.

The annual global health courses will be between three to five days long and include a maximum of 36 fellows each, of which 12 slots will be reserved for nominated fellows from the Institut Pasteur and the Institut Pasteur International Network.

The OMI greatly values this partnership with the Institut Pasteur and looks forward to continuing to offer global health education beyond borders!

“Since 2017, the Institut Pasteur has benefited from a valuable partnership with the OMI. It provides the IP with a unique training opportunity for scientists from the 32 member institutes of the IP International Network. It is an exceptional experience for our researchers to meet with physicians from the OMI network.”
