On February 15, 2021 the Fundraising Verband Austria organized a virtual event on the impact of philanthropy on research.
Dr. Wolfgang Aulitzky was invited to present the Open Medical Institute, a program of the American Austrian Foundation, as one of three examples of best practice. Dr. Robert Kirshner from the Moore Foundation (USA) gave a compelling keynote speech on how philanthropy may accelerate research. The event included an interesting discussion round with the other speakers present, Dr. Christian Dreyer (Dreyer Charity Fund), Dr. Artemis Vakianis (alpha+ Stiftung) and the moderator of the event, Dr. Ruth Williams (Verband für gemeinnütziges Stiften).
