The Open Medical Institute presents a neurology seminar in Mexico City designed to share knowledge about common neurologic conditions including their diagnosis and management. The seminar is held over two and a half days and allows for meaningful interaction with attendees through lectures, discussions, and case presentations. It is not only geared towards neurologists in training, but also provides useful information for general neurologists about challenging diagnostic dilemmas and clinical pearls. The topics are presented during 45-minute lectures followed by 15-minute Q&A sessions and discussions. The objectives of the course are to review the etiology, diagnostic work-up, management, and prognosis of various neurologic diseases. Additionally, there will be an opportunity for the attendees to present brief clinical cases in two afternoon sessions.
The covered topics include acute treatment and prevention of vascular neurological disorders, dementia, epilepsy semiology and treatment, woman’s issues in epilepsy, back and neck pain, diagnostic workup and treatment of peripheral neuropathy, neurologic complications of COVID, and more.
