The OMI has launched highly interactive webinars for the OMI alumni, called OMInars, which serve as a complementary educational program to the ongoing OMI seminar program in Salzburg. Each OMInar lasts five hours and includes four state-of-the-art lectures, followed by a Q&A session, which gives fellows the opportunity to actively participate. The first OMInars are intended to bridge the gap caused by COVID-19, but will function as an additional OMI program moving forward.
The first OMInar took place on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 in Otolaryngology and was a great success. The online course was taught by Drs. Michael G. Stewart, Gerd Rasp, Vikash Modi, Dietmar Thurnher, and was moderated by Dr. Sebastian Roesch. 26 fellows from 23 different countries attended the OMInar and had the unique opportunity to meet the leading experts of their specialty via an online format.
